Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Byldflow LLC ("Byldflow", "we", "us", "our"), a Florida limited liability company, handles information in connection with the GujjuCal app for iPhone (the "App"), the website at gujjucal.com (the "Website"), and our support and other communications (together, the "Services"). It also explains the rights you have under privacy laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other US state privacy laws.

The short version

• There are no accounts and no sign-in, and we run no servers that store your data. • What you enter in the App (your name, punyatithi, events and reminders) stays on your device. • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. • The App shows non-personalized ads from Google. On wide screens, such as laptops and desktop computers, the Website shows a small number of non-personalized ads from Google in the margins beside the page. • Some features rely on other companies to work, such as Apple Maps to find a city or Google to show an ad. Each one is listed below, with what it receives.

Who is responsible for your information

Byldflow LLC is the controller of the limited personal information described in this policy. Where Apple, Google or another company described below processes information for its own purposes, that company is responsible for it under its own privacy policy. You can contact us at any time at support@byldflow.com.

Information that stays on your device

In the App you can choose to enter your name, save family punyatithi, and add events and reminders. The App also saves your settings (such as language, calendar and appearance) and the place you chose or your device's last location. All of this is stored only on your device. We never receive it and have no way to see it.

If you turn on App Lock, your PIN is stored on your device only as a one-way (salted SHA-256) hash in the iOS Keychain, limited to that device and excluded from backups and iCloud Keychain. Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by iOS; the App never receives your biometric data.

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, iOS includes the App's data (but not your App Lock PIN) in that backup. Those backups belong to you and are handled by Apple under your Apple account. We cannot access them.

Location

In the App: if you allow location access, your device's location is used on your device to calculate sunrise, sunset, tithi, choghadiya and muhurat for where you are. To show the name of your town and find its time zone, the App sends your coordinates to Apple's mapping service (MapKit). If you search for a city instead, the text you type is sent to Apple to suggest matching places. Apple handles these requests under the Apple Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). Your location is never sent to us. You can decline location access and choose a city instead.

On the Website: if you choose "Use Device Location", your browser asks your permission and then shares your coordinates with the page, which calculates the panchang in your browser. To show the name of your town, those coordinates are sent to BigDataCloud's reverse-geocoding service (bigdatacloud.com). If you search for a city, the text you type is sent to Open-Meteo's geocoding service (open-meteo.com) to find matching places and their time zones. The place you choose is saved in your browser's local storage, not on our servers.

Notifications

Festival, punyatithi and reminder notifications are scheduled by iOS on your device. They do not pass through any server of ours, and the App does not use push notifications.

Advertising

The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. We have set these ads to be non-personalized, which means Google is asked not to use your information to tailor ads to you. The App never asks for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites (Apple's App Tracking Transparency), so it cannot access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).

To deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's software in the App collects information such as your IP address (from which a general location can be estimated), device and app information, an app-specific device identifier, ad interactions and diagnostic data. Google collects this directly and processes it under its own policies (policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). We do not receive information from Google that identifies you.

Where the law requires it, for example in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google's consent tool asks for your choices before any ads are shown. Where this applies, you can change your choices at any time in the App under Settings → Ad Privacy Choices. You can also manage your Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com and, on iPhone, in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising.

On the Website, ads appear only on wide screens, such as laptops and desktop computers, in the empty margins beside the page, never on phones or tablets. They are served by Google AdSense and are also set to be non-personalized. To deliver them, limit how often the same ad is shown, measure them and prevent fraud, Google receives your IP address and browser information and may use cookies or similar technologies. Where the law requires it, for example in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google's consent tool asks for your choices first, and you can change them at any time from the link it shows on the page.

Videos

The Videos section lists recent videos from public YouTube channels. In the App, your device requests the channels' public feeds and thumbnail images directly from YouTube (youtube.com and i.ytimg.com), so YouTube, which is operated by Google, receives your IP address and basic device information. On the Website, our server fetches the feeds and your browser loads the thumbnails from YouTube. Choosing a video opens it on YouTube, where Google's privacy policy applies.

Cookies, storage and hosting on the Website

The Website has no sign-in, no analytics and no tracking cookies of its own. On wide screens, the ads described under Advertising may use Google's cookies, as explained there. If you change a setting, such as the Gujarati/Jain calendar or the appearance, it is saved in a small first-party cookie so pages open the way you left them. The place you choose is saved in your browser's local storage. Neither is used for any other purpose, and you can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The Website is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy). Our fonts are served from our own site.

When you contact us

If you contact us, by email or through the form on our Support page, we receive your name, your email address, your message and anything you choose to include. Messages sent through the form are delivered to support@byldflow.com by our email provider, Google Workspace, and are held in our mailbox there. By contacting us, you agree that we may use these details to respond to your message and to contact you by email about it. We use them only for that purpose and to keep a record of the conversation, we never add you to a mailing list or send you marketing, and we delete them when they are no longer needed.

Analytics

We do not use any analytics or tracking tools in the App or on the Website. Apple provides us with aggregated App Store statistics, such as downloads, and, if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, crash reports and usage figures. These do not identify you to us.

Information covered by US state privacy laws

In the last 12 months, the Services have involved these categories of personal information: • Identifiers: IP address and an app-specific device identifier (collected by Google for ads, by YouTube when videos load, and by our hosting provider), and your email address if you contact us. • Internet or other electronic network activity: ad interactions (collected by Google) and technical logs (collected by our hosting provider). • Approximate location: estimated from your IP address by Google for ads. • Precise location: used on your device and sent to Apple (App) or BigDataCloud (Website) only to name your town. We never receive or store it. • Communications: the content of emails you send us.

This information comes from you and your device. It is used to provide the Services, show and measure ads, keep the Services secure and answer your messages. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

We do not sell or share your personal information

We do not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration, and we do not use it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. The ads in the App are non-personalized. We have not sold or shared personal information in the last 12 months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

The ads on the Website are non-personalized too, and the Website does not track you, so it treats Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals as already honored. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Your privacy rights

Your rights depend on where you live. Because the information you enter in the App stays on your device, you can view, change or delete it yourself at any time, or delete all of it by deleting the App. We hold no copy of it. For information held by Apple, Google or our other providers, you can use their own tools, or contact us and we will help you.

EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time (which does not affect processing that took place before). You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We rely on these legal bases: your consent (for device location and, where required, for ads), the performance of our agreement with you (to provide the Services you use), and our legitimate interests (to keep the Services secure and working, measure ads and answer your messages).

United States: depending on your state, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you and to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a portable copy, to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising and certain profiling, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using any of these rights. California residents may also use an authorized agent, and may ask about disclosures for direct marketing under California's "Shine the Light" law.

How to make a privacy request

Email support@byldflow.com with the subject "Privacy request" and tell us what you would like us to do. Because we have no accounts, we may ask you for a little information to confirm that the request is yours, and we will only use it for that purpose. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies to you, usually 30 to 45 days.

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject. We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact your state's Attorney General.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, transfers outside the EEA or UK rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where a provider is certified) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long information is kept

Information in the App stays on your device until you delete it or delete the App. Website settings cookies last up to 400 days, and the place saved in your browser stays until you clear this site's data. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you and for our records. Apple, Google and our other providers keep information according to their own policies.

Security

The information you enter in the App never leaves your device except in your own device backups, so it is protected by your device's security (passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS encryption) and by the App's optional App Lock. The Website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we design the Services to keep as little information as possible.

Children

The Services are for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and UK where local law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features. We will change the effective date at the top of the policy, and if the changes are significant we will also let you know in the App or on the Website. The latest version is always available at gujjucal.com/privacy.
