Common questions
Why is a date different from my family's panchang?
GujjuCal calculates every tithi, festival and choghadiya from the positions of the Sun and Moon at your own location, following the classical rules. Printed panchangs are usually made for one city, and families, temples and communities sometimes follow their own traditions for a festival. If a date matters, please confirm it with your family's panchang, temple or priest. If you think we have made a mistake, email us the date, the festival and your city, and we will look into it.
How do I set or change my location?
In the app, go to Settings → Location, then use your device's location or search for a city. On the website, tap the location at the top of the page. Dates and times follow the place you choose, so pick the city where you are.
Why does GujjuCal need my location?
Tithi, sunrise, sunset and choghadiya all depend on where you are. Your location is used on your device for these calculations and is never sent to us. You can always choose a city instead of sharing your location. See the Privacy Policy for details.
My reminders or festival notifications aren't showing.
On your iPhone, open Settings → Notifications → GujjuCal and make sure notifications are allowed. Then, in the app, check that the notification types you want are switched on in Settings. Notifications are scheduled on your device, so they also need the app to have been opened at least once after installing.
I forgot my App Lock PIN.
On the lock screen, tap "Forgot PIN?" and confirm it's you with Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone's passcode. App Lock is then switched off, and you can set a new PIN in Settings → App Lock. We never have a copy of your PIN, so we can't reset it for you.
How do I delete my data?
Everything you enter in the app is stored only on your device. Deleting the app removes it. Copies may also exist in your own iCloud or computer backups, which you manage through Apple. On the website, clear this site's data in your browser to remove your saved place and settings.
How do I change my ad privacy choices?
The app shows non-personalized ads from Google. Where the law requires a choice (for example in the UK and EU), open Settings → Ad Privacy Choices in the app. You can also manage Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com.
How do I make a privacy request?
Email support@byldflow.com with the subject "Privacy request". The Privacy Policy explains your rights in the EU, the UK, California and other US states.
